Incredible quality for the price
Took this out at Grand Baie last weekend and landed a 3 kg carangue on the first cast. The blank is super sensitive and the reel is buttery smooth. Very impressed — will be buying the heavier version next.
Great combo, just rinse it properly
Really solid gear. Cast distance is impressive for the price bracket. Knocked one star because the manual is only in English/French — no Kreol — but that's a minor gripe. Reel has been perfect after 6 sessions.
Bought for my husband, he loves it
He was using an old hand-me-down rod before this. The difference is night and day. He caught 4 bonito on the first trip. The bag is a nice touch for transport. Delivery was quick too — 3 days to Mahebourg.
Solid mid-range combo
For the price, you really can't complain. The carbon blank is noticeably lighter than my old fibreglass rod. The drag is smooth and the reel handle is comfortable. Would like a slightly larger spool for heavier braided lines though.
